This is Novus Ordo communique for Nod32 malicious result for Scut files, and what was being sent in ESET mail's:

Do you think it's really necessary to go to court against those enterprises?

The detection of Eset is a false positive of the heuristic and I allready got an answer from them on friday; but probably because of the weekend they hadn't had time to creat an update.
I don't think that any of those enterprises detects Scut on purpose.

NO ! is NOT heuristics, has a name now, W i n 3 2 / ScutAV, is a name made by hand in ESET lab.

They have 48 hours to remove the signature after all ...

Have fun sueing McAfee ... you are way over your head ... . Currently your time is better spent in enhancing your product instead of writing official communiques. But that is just my opinion.

Not to mention: You tried to contact the vendors and sent in the files to their submit email addresses before ranting in public, did you?

no, I have not sent any file to any vendors, they have specialists in security that can check a file, but they passed the files as malicious intentionally.
Users do not pay to be lied by ESET or other AV companies. They are paid to do their job well and they don't. Why Kaspersky, AVG or other AV companies do not say nothing ? because they are reliable.
McAfee Artemis has a heuristic problem i understand this, and do not worry about my and our fun, behind Scut AntiVirus are very powerful people.

as I know McAfee is a serious company, anyone remembers what Symantec stole from McAfee ? The antivirus engine, McAfee sued and won. Again, McAfee is a serious company, is not like ESET.

Bin ich eigentlich der einzige, dem das sehr fragwürdig vorkommt.

Ausgerechnet so ein Verein will andere Hersteller wegen FPs verklagen...

Also für mich ist die Sache bei dem AV bisher kaum professionell , der Scanner taugt nachweislich noch nicht für produktiven Einsatz und wird schon kommerziell verkauft .
Dann bestreitet der Chef die Erkennungen anderer AVs , sie wären nur Falscherkennungen. Kaum gibt man ihm die Samples werden die Objekte dann doch als Viren klassifiziert und im AV eingepflegt . So kann man nicht mit dem Thema umgehen.

Ich will nicht sagen das der AV eine Form der Abzocke wäre , immerhin bemüht man sich ja eine Leistung anzubieten aber für einen Verkauf der Software ist das einfach zu wenig.

Sorry, aber irgendwie seltsam mutet mir dies alles schon an. Über das Design der Website kann man ja streiten, aber das Produkt ist definitv derzeit einfach etwas schräg - selbst wenn es der beste Support auf der ganzen Welt dort wäre, ich will eigentlich mit einem Sicherheitsprodukt nur gut geschützt sein und vom Support gar nix mitbekommen - weil das Produkt macht was es soll. Ausserdem, ein Produkt zu bewerten, welches nicht mal im Ansatz fertig ist sondern, wie in den Beiträgen hier geschrieben, eklatante Erkennungsmängel aufweist, was soll ich da testen?

Macht die Software rund, schraubt die Erkennung auf marktübliches Niveau und dann kann man mal weiter schauen....
