Hi everybody.

I have installed GDATA TotalCare 2009, German version. But I have found some problems which are:

1. Firewall doesn't work at all although it is installed.


2. Tuner icon doesn't work.

Do you have any solution for this problem?

When will the final English version be released?

Is there any error message? Did you use the AVKCleaner, before you installed TC 2009? Have you tried to reinstall TC2009?

The download link for the Cleaner2009 is not available any more so i uploaded it on rapidshare: http://rapidshare.com/files/146778709/AVKC...er2009.exe.html

- uninstall TC
- start in safe mode
- use the Cleaner and delete all found entries
- restart and search for avk, "g data", gdata, gdf on your harddisc -> delete the relevant entries
- install TC 2009

I have followed the steps but the problems are still. The firewall of GDATA TC 2009 and that of IS 2009 never give notifications as the following:

the new firewall is silent. You can change this behavior by doing the following steps:
- start the GUI
- go to the firewall section
- click the button "Optionen"
- click the radio button "Manuelle Regelerstellung"
- click the "OK" Button

By now, the firewall will ask you if an unknown application wants to send data to the internet.

Hi Blue Sea,
the notification on the left regards to the BehaviourCollectorModule "Systemschutz". In the new version there is a whitelist implemented - so perhaps your app/action is whitelisted. To test whether "Systemschutz" works properly on your system or not, you can use the spycar.org-tools.

In the new version the firewall runs in "auto-pilot"-mode by default (unknown connections and apps will be checked by the scanner automatically).
Disable this mode (e.g. context-menu of the tray-icon) and the fw will alert unknown apps/connections.

Nothing changed. the problem wasn't solved.

@Blue Sea:
Right-click the G DATA tray-icon and choose "Autopilot ausschalten" from the context menu to turn off the "silent mode".
You also can start the G DATA GUI and go to "Firewall -> Status". Double-Click on "Modus" and select the radio-button "Manuelle Regelerstellung".

What kind of hardware you using for your internet connection (adsl-modem, router, ...)
Do you use a special isp-software to get access?

Go to "Firewall -> Netzwerke": is there an entry for the connection you are using? Is the correct IP-adress shown?

I and my brother are using speedtouch 585 v6 through wireless connection.

Can you tell me what you mean by a special isp-software to get access?

There doesn´t seem to be a problem with your IP.

Some internet service providers offer special software to establish an internet connection. Sometimes these products cause trouble.

Your speedtouch contains an integrated firewall - if it is active too, that could cause your problems.

Can you check whether the integrated fw is active or not?
