F-Prot (Cyren) Einstellungen

F-Prot wird es bald nichtmehr geben.
Ich hatte es noch für alte W2k Clients/Server lizenziert. Jetzt gibts da (W2k) es auch keine "aktuelle" AV mehr (soweit ich weiß); "aktuell" bedeutet Signaturupdates. Die Engine wurde schon lange nichtmehr aktualisiert

Dear Valued Customer,

This note is to inform you of the upcoming End-of-Sale (EOS) and End-of-Life (EOL) dates for the F-PROT Endpoint Antivirus products.

F-PROT endpoint has had a long and successful history, and we thank you for your support as a Cyren customer. There are many other options in the market for endpoint AV, and Cyren has decided to focus on enterprise solutions. As a result, we can no longer support the F-PROT Endpoint product line.

The following dates will be in effect:

1-Aug-2020 - End-of-Sales Date (the product cannot be ordered from Cyren beyond that date)
31-July-2021 End-of-Life Date (last data when the product will be supported and signature updates provided)

Ist ein Stück Geschichte, die da verloren geht und erinnert mich immer an die frühen Anfänge der AV-Programme zurück. Auch wenn ich F-Prot nie genutzt habe

Aber die Kleinen haben heute keine Chance mehr, selbst die Großen wie McAfee, Sophos, Panda etc. werden reihenweise von Investoren übernommen....
